📚 Summer Vacation of Youth – an Important Step Toward Knowledge and Development
On June 9, 2026, professors and teachers of the Department of Economic Statistics at the Faculty of Digital Economy and Information Technologies of Tashkent State University of Economics held a special spiritual and educational event at a secondary school in Chilanzar district. The event was dedicated to the meaningful organization of youth leisure during summer vacations, improving their digital literacy, and developing their professional skills.
The timing of this event was by no means accidental. The summer months offer schoolchildren a unique opportunity not only to rest but also to take their knowledge and abilities to a new level, to delve deeper into areas of interest, and to seriously reflect on their future careers. During the event, students received detailed information on the most relevant and promising fields of today: digital literacy, artificial intelligence, programming basics, data analysis, graphic design, financial literacy, as well as effective methods for learning foreign languages.
Particular attention was paid to how artificial intelligence is increasingly penetrating our daily lives, how it can be applied correctly and beneficially, what simple and engaging programming languages exist, how to draw important conclusions through data analysis, how to visually express ideas through graphic design, how to plan personal finances and manage expenses, and how to use modern platforms for language learning. All information was presented in an accessible and easy-to-understand manner for young students.
Furthermore, participants were given comprehensive insights into modern professions that are in high demand in today's labor market: data scientist, programmer, artificial intelligence engineer, graphic designer, web developer, digital marketer, financial analyst, and many others. The discussion covered how these professions are likely to evolve in the future, which specific skills need to be developed, and what resources can be used to acquire them.
After the main session, the teachers held an open and lively dialogue with the students, actively encouraging them to participate in discussions and ask questions. The students showed great interest and raised numerous questions, each of which received thorough answers, along with additional recommendations for each field, including useful online courses, books, and other educational resources.
This spiritual and educational event aims to encourage young people to view summer vacations not merely as a time for leisure, but as an important stage of intellectual enrichment, broadening their worldview, familiarizing themselves with modern technologies, and building a worthy professional future. The department team expressed a firm commitment to systematically organize similar meetings and to provide comprehensive support to the younger generation on their path toward knowledge and self-development.
