A Memorandum of Cooperation Was Signed with Tashkent State University of Economics
On June 24 of this year, the National Statistics Committee organized a meeting at Tashkent State University of Economics with students majoring in Statistics.
The event was attended by senior officials of the central apparatus of the National Statistics Committee led by the Chairman of the Committee, as well as the leadership, faculty members, and students of Tashkent State University of Economics.
During the meeting, a memorandum of mutual cooperation was signed between the National Statistics Committee and Tashkent State University of Economics.
Within the framework of the memorandum, in accordance with Presidential Decree No. PF-27 dated February 24, 2025, several key areas of cooperation were defined. These include the establishment of a branch of the Department of Economic Statistics under the Committee, effective organization of professional internships for students, introduction of the “Best Statistician” competition and scholarships, joint implementation of scientific research projects, overseas internships for faculty members based on international experience, development of innovative products, and their practical implementation.
In addition, the parties agreed to further improve the Scientific and Practical Statistics Laboratory aimed at enhancing the scientific potential of professionals in the field of statistics.
At the conclusion of the event, students and faculty members who proposed the best initiatives for further development of the national statistical system, as well as second-year student Madina Usmonova (daughter of Botir), who won 2nd place in the individual category of the III International Student Statistics Olympiad held in Moscow, were awarded commemorative gifts by the National Statistics Committee.
