📚 A republican scientific-practical conference on the development of the national statistical system was held at TSUE
A republican scientific-practical conference dedicated to the development of the national statistical system, its improvement based on modern requirements, and its adaptation to international standards was held at Tashkent State University of Economics. This prestigious event served as an important scientific-practical platform aimed at developing the statistical sphere in the Republic of Uzbekistan, further improving the system of collecting, processing, and analyzing statistical data in the context of the digital economy.
The conference was attended by members of the Committee of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, representatives of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, specialists from the Institute of Macroeconomic and Regional Research under the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as professors and teachers of the Academy of Public Policy and Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In addition, scientists from leading higher education institutions of the country, researchers, and students participated with their scientific reports. In total, more than 200 specialists and scientists actively participated in the event.
During the conference, representatives of the field discussed in detail the current state of the national statistical system, the pressing tasks facing it, and promising plans for the coming years. In particular, the main topics of discussion included:

Digitalization and implementation of information and communication technologies in the statistical sphere;

Ensuring the reliability, transparency, and compliance of statistical data with international standards;

Improving the methodology for calculating and forecasting macroeconomic indicators;

Development of the regional statistical system and formation of a local statistical database;

Reorganizing the system of statistical personnel training in accordance with modern requirements;

Studying international experience and applying it to the national statistical system;

Using artificial intelligence and Big Data technologies in analyzing statistical information.
Within the framework of the conference, various sectional sessions and panel discussions were organized. Participants developed practical proposals and recommendations for solving existing problems in the statistical field. In particular, representatives of the Statistics Agency provided detailed information about projects planned for the modernization of the statistical system in the coming years. Also, specialists from the Institute of Macroeconomic and Regional Research presented the results of scientific research on statistical analysis of socio-economic indicators by regions.
Scientists and researchers from higher education institutions, in their scientific reports, demonstrated the results of their research on statistical methods, econometric modeling, demographic statistics, labor statistics, statistics of foreign economic activity, and other areas. Students also presented interesting scientific works on the application of statistical analysis methods, which were highly appreciated by experienced scientists.
At the end of the conference, participants put forward initiatives to develop a "Road Map" for the development of the national statistical system based on the decisions and recommendations adopted, as well as to further expand educational and research activities in the field of statistics and strengthen cooperation with statistical services of foreign countries.
The leadership of Tashkent State University of Economics noted that regular holding of such scientific-practical conferences, broad involvement of students and researchers in scientific work in the field of statistics, and further development of international cooperation in this area are of great importance.
This conference became an important step in the development of the national statistical system, strengthening its scientific and methodological foundations, and exchanging experience among specialists in this field.
