📌 Aware Society – Safe Life: A Step Toward Legal Culture and Security
On June 5, 2026, professors and teachers of the Department of Economic Statistics at Tashkent State University of Economics, together with leading lecturers of the department – Shakirova Nigora Axralovna and To‘rayeva Zilola Turg‘unovna – organized a spiritual and educational event on the theme “Aware Society – Safe Life” at the “Katta Olmazor” mahalla (neighborhood community) in Chilanzar district of Tashkent, as part of the department week activities.
The main purpose of this event was to enhance the legal culture of citizens, prevent crime and offenses among young people, and contribute to the formation of a healthy, safe, and peaceful environment in society.
During the event, the lecturers held detailed discussions with mahalla residents, especially young people and parents, on such pressing topics as legal literacy, changes in legislation, citizens' rights and responsibilities, protecting young people from various negative influences, and preventing offenses through meaningful organization of leisure time.
Special emphasis was placed on the responsibility of every citizen in creating a safe social environment, the importance of respect for the law, and social solidarity. Open dialogues and exchanges of views took place between mahalla activists, young people, and representatives of the older generation. Participants asked numerous questions and received comprehensive legal explanations.
Shakirova Nigora Axralovna and To‘rayeva Zilola Turg‘unovna, in their speeches, called on young people to acquire legal knowledge, find their rightful place in society, and treat laws with respect. They also noted that the department plans to regularly organize such educational events and continue systematic work to improve the legal literacy of the population.
At the end of the event, residents and mahalla activists expressed their gratitude to the department team for the useful and meaningful meeting. This initiative serves not only to enhance legal knowledge but also to strengthen cooperation between the mahalla and the university, as well as to widely promote a culture of awareness and security in society.
