Defense of Master’s Theses at Production Internship Sites: Integration of Theory and Practice
On January 20, 2025, the Statistics Agency hosted the defense of master’s theses by graduates of the Department of Economic Statistics of Tashkent State University of Economics.
The event was attended by heads of departments of the Statistics Agency as well as faculty members of the university. Research papers of students majoring in 70310201 – Econometrics and 70411501 – Business Analytics were presented. The defense was conducted in the form of active question-and-answer sessions and discussions, providing ample opportunities for participants to demonstrate their knowledge and scientific potential.
In their theses, the master’s students carried out in-depth analyses of pressing issues aimed at the development of Uzbekistan’s economy and statistical system. By applying modern economic models and econometric methods, they proposed solutions with significant practical relevance. The research works were highly evaluated in terms of scientific novelty, statistical justification, and applicability in practice.
During the defense process, the master’s students thoroughly substantiated the results of their research and provided clear and well-reasoned answers to questions posed by faculty members and industry experts.
At the conclusion of the event, the graduates were wished success in their future academic and professional careers, and confidence was expressed in their achievement of further accomplishments in the fields of economic statistics and business analytics.
This event once again confirmed that the effective cooperation between the Statistics Agency and Tashkent State University of Economics represents an important step in training highly qualified specialists in the fields of economics and statistics in the country.
