Available Research Areas

Doctoral research is conducted in priority areas of statistics and applied economic analysis, including:

  • Economic and Sectoral Statistics
    Statistical assessment of economic sectors, structural transformation, productivity, and sustainable development.

  • Socio-Economic Statistics
    Research on population dynamics, labor markets, income distribution, poverty, inequality, and social development indicators.

  • Financial and Banking Statistics
    Statistical analysis of financial markets, banking systems, investments, and financial stability.

  • Applied Statistics and Econometrics
    Advanced statistical modeling, econometric analysis, forecasting, and quantitative research methods.

  • Data Analytics and Digital Statistics
    Big data analysis, digital economy indicators, data-driven modeling, and modern statistical software applications.


Program Description

Doctoral programs aim to prepare highly qualified researchers capable of conducting independent and original scientific research. Doctoral candidates contribute to the development of statistical science and its application in economic and social policy through theoretical innovation and empirical analysis.


Research Process

Doctoral research is conducted through the following stages:

  1. Admission and Enrollment
    Applicants are admitted in accordance with national regulations and university requirements.

  2. Selection of Research Topic and Supervisor
    A research topic aligned with priority areas is approved, and a scientific supervisor is appointed.

  3. Individual Research Plan
    An individual plan is developed outlining coursework, research stages, publication requirements, and dissertation milestones.

  4. Conduct of Research
    Independent research using advanced statistical, econometric, and analytical methods and empirical data.

  5. Publications and Approbation
    Research results are published in national and international peer-reviewed journals and presented at scientific conferences.

  6. Dissertation Preparation and Defense
    The dissertation is prepared and defended before a specialized academic council in accordance with academic standards.


Doctoral Program Requirements

Doctoral candidates are expected to:

  • conduct original and independent scientific research;

  • apply advanced quantitative and statistical methods;

  • publish research findings in recognized scientific journals;

  • actively participate in academic seminars and conferences;

  • adhere to academic integrity and research ethics standards;

  • successfully defend the doctoral dissertation within the prescribed timeframe.
